This course provides a comprehensive introduction to BioMEMS and microfluidic systems, covering their physical foundations, numerical investigation, fabrication technologies, and laboratory-based characterization. Microfluidic platforms enable the precise manipulation of fluids, particles, and biological samples at the micrometer scale and have become essential tools in modern biomedical diagnostics, single-cell analysis, and chemical and biological microsystems. The course follows a system-level approach, guiding students from application-driven concepts through simulation and fabrication to experimental validation.
